We notice that change occurs. Several countries, such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Bulgaria or Czech Republic, go towards the parties’ pole (i.e. power is dispersed), while Germany, Latvia, Romania, Italy and Slovakia move towards the executives’ pole (i.e. power is concentrated). Regarding the ideological distance dimension, we can see that several countries, such as Portugal, Cyprus, Belgium or Hungary, move towards left, meaning that they become more polarized and with lower levels of congruence. Other countries, however, move in the other direction (e.g. United Kingdom, France, Germany or Slovenia).
